BURMA. Masonic jewel, [1938], An ornate open-work surround, with single leaves at left & right, a 'Square & Compass' emblem at bottom, in the centre, obverse; THE SCOTS LODGE RANGOON No. 1392 S. C. on a ring of blue enamel, within which BURMA above a shield enamelled in blue and white with the cross of St. Andrew, reverse; blank, silver hallmarks for Birmingham, 1939, maker's mark "D.M.G.", the medal is suspended by a tartan ribbon from a bar inscribed FOUNDER on a blue enamelled band, (this lodge was granted its charter in 1938), 36mm x 44mm, 30.19g, silver gilt, VF.
